Networking
The fMRI center utilizes the state of the art Cisco Catalyst 4506-E switch. The chassis has 6 slots, of which four are utilized with 2 more for growth. This switch is now connected to a 10Gbit backbone to the main campus and SDSC.
The switch is configured with Supervisor Card, and 3 48 port Gigabit Modules. Cabling infrastructure will be fiber to the building, the scanners, the main server and Category 6 level cabling for workstations.
The fMRI center also equipped with 3 Cisco Wireless Access Points that support 802.11a /g/n 300Mbps
