Started
Doing Research at the fMRI center (in a nutshell)

Submit a proposal (link http://cfmriweb.ucsd.edu/forms.html)
- Once approved the
following accounts will be created
- Webschedule for scheduling research time and reporting scanner related problems.
- Server for data transfer. (instructions available @ http://cfmriweb.ucsd.edu/data-transfer.html)
- An RT account for reporting computer-related problems.
- Request an exam room scheduling account if needed (email eghobrial@ucsd.edu) .
- Request Parking reservation scheduling account if needed (email pywong@ucsd.edu).
- Note that you will need to identify who will be the scanner operators for your project (see below for procedures to become a certified operator).
- Once approved the
following accounts will be created

Safety Training
- Fill out the online registration form before safety lecture (http://cfmriweb.ucsd.edu/cfmri-training)
- Attend safety training lecture. Note: You must bring a printed copy of the safety manual (PDF) and supplementary guidelines (PDF).
- Pass the online test (http://cfmriweb.ucsd.edu/etraining).
- We encourage everyone to attend the safety lecture even if they do not need the official training.

Operator Training
- Complete Step 2.
- The project PI must send a request for you to be trained (link http://cfmriweb.ucsd.edu/operator-training/).
- Complete operator hands on training.
- PI must email Eman Ghobrial eghobrial@ucsd.edu requesting that the operator be added to one of their reseach projects on the webschedule database.
- After hours and weekend access to the bldg is given only to certified operators who have completed all of the above requirements.
- Only those who have been officially safety-trained may enter the magnet rooms.
